Backend Engineer (Python)

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI or similar)
• Develop data pipelines to process large-scale robot sensor and telemetry data
• Design and manage PostgreSQL / SQLite schemas for robot operations and user systems
• Enable real-time communication between robots and backend systems
• Architect systems that function reliably in both online and offline environments
• Manage and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda)
• Collaborate closely with robotics and frontend teams for seamless integration

Must-Have Skills

• 3–8 years of backend development experience
• Strong Python expertise
• Experience with FastAPI (or similar frameworks), PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
• Experience building systems that handle large-scale or real-time data
• Familiarity with cloud deployments, monitoring, and resilient architectures

Good to Have

• Experience in robotics, IoT, or real-time systems
• Familiarity with ROS, MLOps, ETL pipelines, or time-series data
• Experience with CI/CD and containerized environments
